Description

Transformers, what can be said about them that hasn't been said, since G1 they had their ups with Beast Wars and Animated, and they had their downs like Energon and Revenge of the Fallen, so where does Transformers: Prime fall into this? Hell if I know all I know is I like it.

Transformers: Prime is the latest show to have the TF name and the third CG show since Beast Wars and Beast Machines and is on the HUB channel and for those who think that the HUB would be for little kids you are wrong this show already kills off a main character, shows (robot) blood, and got really dark at times.

Lets talk about the main characters:
The Autobots-
Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen): nothing much to say about him because aside from Optimus Primal and Animated Prime this Optimus is the same noble, brave, and wise leader of the Autobots like the others and he's awesome.

Bumblebee: Pretty much the same as his counterpart from the movies, he can't talk, granted instead of talking in radio stations he talks like R2-D2, and he's almost identical to his movie counterpart, he's the guardian of Raf, the youngest of the human characters, and when not on the field fighting Decsepticons he's about as childish as his human companion, nothing much to say about this character other than he's not annoying as the other Bumblebees and he still is the little yellow bot that we all know and love

Bulkhead (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson): Personality wise he's is slightly different from Animated Bulkhead, this Bulkhead is more of an action man and he's the muscle of the Autobots, aside from that there's not much of a difference, Bulkhead is the guardian of Miko (bless his spark) and his relationship with her is similar to Animated Bulkhead's relationship with young Sari which is like a big brother role, he hangs out with the kids and will even take the blame when something goes wrong, I like Bulkhead just in general, he's always been like the Thing from the Fantastic Four which is a big guy with a bigger heart or in this case spark.

Ratchet (voiced by Jeffrey Combs): Take Animated Ratchet, Dr. House, and Dr. McCoy from Star Trek and throw them in a blender set on mix and you got Prime Ratchet, he's the cranky old veteran who still can kick ass and that's funny, the way he acts with the other characters is fitting, he's the brother in arms with Optimus, a father figure to Bee, Bulkhead, and Arcee, intrigue with Raf, admiration with Jack, and the same feelings as me towards Miko.

Cliffjumper (voiced by the Rock): he dies in the first episode that sucks because he was awesome, then again he does become a zombie robot which just proves the fact that zombies can be 1000 times more awesome if you make them anything other than an average person like a superhero, a nazi(watch dead snow), or in this case a robot

Arcee (voiced by Sumalee Montano): I love this character, she's bad ass, she's quick, face it she had the most character development so far, and for a cartoon robot, she's kind of hot, she's the guardian for Jack who I guess is the main human character and their relationship is well.... I have no comment I know that there's gonna be fan art and fan fiction paring these two together but considering that the other options to pair Arcee with are the villains, a dead guy, a mute, the muscle, the leader who could be old enough to be her father, and Robo-House, the idea of being with a human doesn't sound too bad, anyway she's the best character in my opinion and the best incarnation of Arcee by far, she's not the token female of the group she's blue not pink, and she's I guess second in command behind Optimus

Decsepticons-
Megatron (voiced by Frank Welker): like Optimus, this Megs is the same as other incarnations, the sinister leader of the Decsepticons

Starscream (voiced by Steve Blum): He's like the movie Starscream, just as sneaky and plotting like other Starscreams but without the whole taking Megatron's place thing, he's okay character wise but his design just seems off to me.

Soundwave: Hate this character, he or she doesn't have that cold machine like attitude like other incarnations, he/she is just there, more like one of the drones that serve to Decsepticons

Humans-
Jack Darby (voiced by Josh Keaton): the main human character he's what Shia LeBeouf's character should be like in the movies, a typical teenager, not some horny collage student who wants to get with Megan Fox, granted a lot of guys would want to do that but still, he has the second most development so far, he's an okay character as far as human characters goes and serves as a big brother/guardian figure to Raf and Miko

Raf Esquivel (voiced by Andy Pessoa): the youngest character and the smartest, he manages to hack into the Autobot's computers, and a government computer, apart from that he's a typical little kid character, he bonds very well with Bumble Bee, like Jack he's an okay character.

Miko Nakadai (voiced by Tania Gunadi): The most annoying character in Transformers history this is how she learned about the Autobots, she followed Jack who was talking to Arcee, it's not like Raf or Jack who just were at the wrong place at the wrong time, she just stumbled in on them like she walked in on her dad singing Ozzy's greatest hits and she's like Jade from Jackie Chan Adventures, except without the likability she just follows everyone, she even follows Bulkhead to find Agent Fowler, knowing that there is a risk of being killed in a giant robot battle

Agent Bill Fowler (voiced by Ernie Hudson): he's voiced by Winston from Ghostbusters that automatically makes him awesome

The series itself is set I guess three years after the Transformers come to earth and are covered up by the government and the cover-up make since because there's little to no witnesses unlike the movies where they can cover up an epic final battle in the middle of a major city. Well the Decsepticons come back to kill Cliffjumper, and Megatron returns shortly after with dark energon, which is the Transformer equivalent to the T-virus and the Autobots have to stop Megatron from using the dark energon to bring back all the dead transformers on Cyberton and causing a robot zombie apocalypse and it is awesome and win by every meaning of the word, I give it an 8.5/10

I became a huge fan of Jeffrey Combs because of this show. I sorta heard of him before hand and the movie and shows he's in but if he's good enough for Transformers then I'm on board.
